EXCELLENT CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
PTFE is one of the most chemically resistant substances known. similar To ceramics. It will chemically resist virtually all gaseous and fluid corrosives, and is totally unaffected chemically by all acids, alkalis, solvents, fuel oils, detergents and food stuffs except molten alkalai and flouride compounds.
TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE
Excellent temperature stability between —73″C + 260°C.
WEATHER RESISTANCE
Resistance To OZONE, U. V. Rays and Oxidation.
LONG SERVICE LIFE
The flexibility of PTFE hose remains constant, even after long and continuous use at high Temperatures. Since the hose is also relatively unaffected by chemicals, the service life of the hose is usually longer than that of other types of rubber or plastic hose. Greater reliability and reduced maintenance costs can therefore be expected.
NON-STICK
Hose easily cleaned To maintain batch purity, when using one hose for several services. Efficient, clean transfer through the hose is achieved without any material becoming trapped as it passes through the hose bore internal bacteria traps are therefore avoided due to this non—stick nature of PTFE.
FOOD SUITABILITY
Suitable for food stuff conduits as Teflon is physiologically unobjectionable and no transfer of taste or colour
BlO-DEGRADATION
Resistance to enzymatic and microbiological attack, does not contain addictive which may provide a substrate for fungal or bacterial growth.
